Chief Financial Officer – Rover180

Supply chain finance and factoring company located in downtown Indianapolis seeking a proactive, detail-oriented and highly motivated individual to serve as the Chief Financial Officer and oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, adhere to all reporting requirements in accordance with GAAP, manage a team, and facilitate a cohesive team environment. This position reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead/Manage/Oversee all the day-to-day operations of the company, including but not limited to: overseeing the client/debtor onboarding processes, overseeing and assisting with the credit underwriting process, overseeing and assisting with billing, working closely with the sales and development teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Lead/Manage/Oversee all the day-to-day accounting operation of the company
  • Responsible for ad hoc reporting, as needed
  • Strategizes with management regarding staffing needs and carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining employees, performance reviews, and addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Sets and holds employees to an aggressive cross training schedule to ensure that coverage for PTO and turnover is flawless
  • Works closely with other department heads to ensure seamless communication and processes are in place for the smooth operation of day-to-day business
  • Ensures the financial integrity of the company by consistent quality checks and proper holds being placed on items without the proper documentation
  • Builds and maintains vendor relationships
  • Ability to read industry specific documents and reports, becoming a content expert
  • Acts as a main point of contact for external auditors, preparing requested financial reports and backup
  • Plays a key role in selecting, moving to, training, and maintaining new accounting system(s)
  • Assists CEO with ad hoc projects, as needed

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Accountant with CPA license
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 10+ years of experience (strongly preferred)
  • Strong background in Internal Controls compliance and/or Process Improvement
  • Public Accounting experience
  • Corporate experience
  • Strong Excel skills to include use of v-lookups and pivot tables
  • Experience in problem-solving
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels
  • Capacity to adapt quickly to changing priorities

Salary: commensurate with experience.
